Fill in the Blank Friday!

1. If my house was on fire and I could only grab 3 things I would grab my purse, my laptop, and my favorite outfit.  =)

2. A smell I really like is Black Raspberry Vanilla from Bath & Body Works and my beau's cologne.  I'm pretty senstive to smell though, so please nothing TOO strong!

3. Something you might not know about me is I love the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...no, it's not something to be proud of, but that show is addictive!

4. Some of my favorite websites to putter about on are Facebook, Mint.com, and of course, Blogger.

5. This weekend I will work a little, relax a little, and play a little.  Stay tuned on Sunday or Monday to find out the full report!  =)

6. Nothing makes me happier than an unexpected day off work because of snow...unfortunately, I haven't had one of those this year, but it would make me REALLY happy!!!!!

7. A bad habit I have is driving too fast (don't worry Mom...I'm working on this).  I don't really have road rage, but I just like to get from Point A to Point B in shortest amount  of time possible!

Fill in the Blank Friday!

Yes, I am once again doing Fill in the Blank Friday late...In my defense, I left my house yesterday at 6:30 a.m. and didn't get home until 12:45 a.m.  Therefore, I'm playing a little catch-up.
1.   Giving is  so much fun!  Especially when it's a gift I worked really hard on.  I love getting people unexpected gifts they love.

2.  Receiving is  also fabulous!

3.  The best gift I ever received was  I'm REALLY bad at this question...I have received soooo many wonderful gifts throughout the years...I can't pick just one!

4.  The best gift I ever gave was  a framed original of a recipe in my deceased Grandmother's handwriting.  I gave it to my mom for her birthday a few years back and I don't think I've ever been so proud of a gift.

5.  Something intangible that I wish I could receive is     financial independence...like in a wish I didn't have to work sort of way...

6.  Something intangible that I wish I could give is   happiness!

7.  The one gift I always wanted as a child, but never got was  a trampoline...I sprained ankle on the neighbor's trampoline and therefore, my parents would never even consider it.

Fill in the Blank Friday

Sorry for not being around yesterday.  I was out and about with the family in Knoxville.  Oh, and still looking for the perfect dog to give Patrick as a Christmas present.  We're still working on that one though.  =(

I thought I might as well get caught up on the posts I missed even if they are a day late.

1.   Black Friday is not my cup of tea...even though I really WANT it to be my cup of tea.  We finally made it to Old Navy yesterday at 3:00 and all the doorbusters were gone.  =(  Guess I shouldn't complain since I did sleep until 9:30, right?

2.  Christmas shopping this year will include  gifts for my parents, siblings, Patrick, Patrick's mom, and a child off the Angel Tree.  My Christmas shopping is REALLY easy since there aren't any kids in the family, yet.

3.  Holiday shopping makes me  happy!  I love buying gifts that I think the special people in my life will love!

4.  This year my Christmas list will include   a Pandora bracelet, a few Pandora charms, an eBook Reader...honestly, though, anything I get will be amazing!

5.  Bargain hunter, or full price shopper?    Honestly, it just depends on how much I want an item.  If I REALLY want it, I will pay full price...however, I try to find a bargain everywhere I can.

6.  The best and worst things about shopping is   Best -- going home with lots of good items for my family and myself!  Worst -- spending wayyyy too much money!

7.  Online shopper or in-person shopper?  Again, it totally depends on the gift.  If it's an item that I know what I'm getting, I buy it online, but some things you just have to look at before you can purchase them.

It's not too late to head over to the little things we do and link up!

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's that time again...this week's Fill in the Blank Friday is all things Thanksgiving!!!!!  Woohoo!  I'm super excited about Thanksgiving this year because not only is it a pretty fun holiday, but I also am taking the entire week off work next week.  AND, I don't have a lot planned either so I should be able to get LOTS of things done around my house...Yes, ladies and well, ladies (as my beau is probably the only gentleman that reads this blog of mine), operation "Get-everything-on-my-to-do-list-done-before-tax-season-starts" has officially begun!!!!!  Now moving on to the questions!
1. My Thanksgiving plans this year will include heading to Knoxville on Thursday morning to have Thanksgiving dinner with my mom, dad, brother, sister, and Patrick.  After dinner, we always head to see a movie as a family...no word yet, on what the official movie will be...guess we better start thinking about that...I mean, usually it takes some pretty heavy convincing for us to see a movie I want to see...the boys don't usually want to see the same thing as me!

2. My favorite Thanksgiving was probably last Thanksgiving because it was the first time Patrick and I had spent a holiday together.  Pair that with my mom's delicious Thanksgiving meal, and my entire family going to see one of my favorite movies EVER (The Blind Side) and I don't think the day could have been more perfect!

3. My signature Thanksgiving dish is pumpkin pie with Heath Bar on top.  Don't worry...I'll be sure and blog about the recipe when I make it next week!

4. My favorite Thanksgiving food is please see question #3.  =)  Oh, and I love cream corn, and my mom's dressing!  It is absolutely the BEST!!!!!

5. Thanksgiving free association! I'm going to have to agree with Morgan on this one...I have no idea what this means...

6. Thanksgiving is the beginning of Christmas season...I know that's terrible, and I am VERY thankful for all my blessings, but my favorite part of Thanksgiving has always been the fact that it's time to officially begin the Christmas season!

7. I am thankful for oh, gosh...I have soooo much to be thankful for.  I am thankful that I own my own home; that I have a job that provides me with a steady income; that I have parents who will drop EVERYTHING for their children; that my friends are so supportive and always here for me...even if some of them are physically very far away; that I have a boyfriend who is my biggest supporter and always tells me that he's proud of me; that I have siblings who believe that even if they may get irritated and frustrated with me, that doesn't give anyone else the right to be mean to me; that I have discovered blogging and how therapeutic it can be; that I am healthy enough to walk a half marathon; that I can was taught from a very young age how important it is to help others; that my parents have been very supportive of every decision I have made but at the same time, they made me find my own way.
Well, that's all for tonight!  Head over and tell us about your Thanksgiving!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. The most spontaneous thing I've ever done was moving to Nashville.  Like I've said before, I probably made that decision without thinking it all the way through.  However, I think that's one point in my life when I must have given God full control because it's definitely not like me to make rash decisions.  He must have known what he was doing, because I couldn't be happier.

2. The best gift I've ever received was the gift of compassion for those less fortunate than myself.  My parents are both very compassionate people and they have taught me to be the same way.

3. A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised was when my girlfriends through me a surprise Birthday Party on my 28th Birthday.  I didn't know what hit me...I honestly, couldn't believe all those people were there for me...and it wasn't even a milestone!

4. I can't leave the house without my cell phone and camera.

5. My favorite day of the week is Saturday because I usually get to sleep in.

6. Something that can always make me laugh is the Elf-Yourself e-mails.  I LOVE those things!

7. My perfect day would include everything that last Sunday included.  However, at the end of it, I would watch a movie on the couch until I feel asleep and I wouldn't have to work the next day.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My last haircut was about a month ago...I should have a cut and color every 6 weeks, but because it's sooooooo expensive, I usually just do every 10 weeks!

2. My most daring hair moment was when I decided to let it grow out several years ago...2 words...BAD IDEA!!!!!  I had just moved to Nashville (the humidity capital of the WORLD), and my hair wouldn't do a thing!

3. A hairstyle I'd never be brave enough to try is an up-do for a fancy event.  My face is long and thin...therefore, I don't think my hair looks good pulled back at all!

4. I've always dreamt of being a (blonde, brunette or red-head) I guess a blonde, since it's not my natural color.  My hair is brown, and I've colored it blonde for most of my adulthood...therefore, I guess it would be nice if it was natural.

5. My go-to hair do is a graduated bob, with side bangs, straightened with a flat iron...that's pretty much the ONLY way I can fix my own hair, as if you haven't figured that out by all my pics.  =)

6. My biggest hair disaster was please see Question #2!

7. A hairstyle I am dying to try a short, almost pixie haircut.  I keep thinking about taking the plunge, but chicken out almost every time.

8. My best hair day was I think I'm still waiting on this day...  =)

9. The worst hairstyle I ever had was when I had a perm in the 4th grade...need i say more?

10. My hair is something I have a love/hate relationship with...however, I have finally learned to love it more than I hate it over the last 3-4 years.

Fill in the Blank Friday

Again, here I am doing my Fill in the Blank a day late.  Well, this time it wasn't really my fault...the internet at my house wasn't working yesterday, so I was forced to forego my blogging for the day.  That's okay, it's never too late, right?
1. My Halloween plans this year will include going to a Halloween party at a friend of Patrick's house!  This is the first year Patrick and I have celebrated Halloween together because he is usually on his out-of-the-country trip at this time, so I'm pretty pumped about it!

2. My most memorable Halloween costume was probably a few years ago when a few girlfriends and I were the Deal or No Deal girls and one of the girl's boyfriend was Howie Mandell.  Here's a pic just for fun:
3. For Halloween this year I'm going to be well...that's going to be a secret until the Weekend Update.  =)

4. I've always wanted to dress up as the costume that wins the costume contest...that has NEVER happened to me and isn't likely to with my uncreative self in charge of the costume.  =(

5. Halloween free association! one word:  CANDY!!!!!

6. The worst thing about Halloween is that I never feel like my costume is good enough and I never feel comfortable.  =(

7. The best thing about Halloween is seeing kids in cute little Halloween costumes.  I like to hand out candy, but unfortunately, I doubt I'll have many Trick-or-Treaters.

Well, that's it guys!  If you aren't embarrassed to be posting your Fill in the Blank late like me, then head on over to the little things we do and link up!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Yummy, Oh, how I love coffee!  It keeps me awake when I am simply to exhausted to go on, it keeps me warm when my office is FREEZING, and it reminds me of Fall...well, Pumpkin Lattes remind me of fall and that's what I am choosing to pretend this picture is:
1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is hit the snooze button and pray that it's really Saturday!  =)

2. Today I wish I was already in bed because I have to get up early tomorrow!

3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd buy both the black AND brown boots I found at Macy's tonight...oh, decisions, decisions...

4. Tomorrow will be a busy, busy day!  First, breakfast at Mickey's, then the Germantown Street Festival, THEN, it's off to Cookeville to watch Robbing Reality play what may be their final show.

5. Two things that don't go together are busyness and relaxation...somehow I have too much of the first and not enough of the latter.  =(

6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is diet soda...yes, I definitely have an addiction!

7. The last time I tried something new was tonight...we had Papa Murphy's pizza and it was DELICIOUS!!!!!  Highly recommended!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Yes, yes, yes...I am a day late doing my Fill in the Blank Friday, AGAIN...oh, well, better late than never.
1. True happiness is being content with the moment I am in and the way my life is RIGHT NOW.

2. The most surreal moment of my life was probably when I moved to Nashville.  It all happened so fast, and I really never thought I would leave my home town, so when the dust settled and I realized I had really made a life here, it seemed too good to be true.  Still, the best decision I have ever made.

3. My favorite texture is I'm not really sure on this one...as far as clothing, I like all textures (except wool...not a fan of being itchy), but for something to feel or cover up with, I like very soft velvety textures.

4. My signature color is definitely BLACK!  I love wearing all things black.

5. My signature style is traditional, popular looks with a little bit of an edge.  I like to look normal all while looking just a little bit different (in a good way) at the same time.

6. If I could choose one store to spend my life savings at, it would be The Limited!  I freakin' LOVE this store!  There aren't many times that I go in here and don't find the perfect outfit!  If only my pockets were currently deep enough for me to buy everything I want in there!

7. My best thing about autumn is everything pumpkin flavor!  I love pumpkin cookies (I have the perfect recipe, BTW), pumpkin pie, pumpkin spiced lattes, and pumpkin muffins.  I LOVE that flavor and unfortunately, you can only find it between October - November.

Well, friends, I hope your weekend is good.  I'll be back soon with a weekend update!

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's time for the post for my favorite day of the week...FRIDAY!!!!!

1. In the story of my life the actor who would play me would be hmm...this is a hard one...someone once told me I look like Natasha Richardson, but she passed away, so I don't think I have an answer for this one...

2. If I could change one thing about the world it would be for everyone to be more open-minded and accepting of others.

3. Yesterday I was sick...BOO!

4. My favorite comfort food is really anything that Patrick cooks because he is SUCH a good cook!

5. My new favorite blog find is The Survival Guide for the Young Fabulous and Newlywed -- she has such fun things to blog about.

6. If I could meet any blog friend (who I haven't met yet) in real life, I'd want to meet Marcie from Justin and Marcie.  She used to live in Nashville, so I'd like to talk to her about what she did for fun when she lived here.

7. My favorite breakfast food is probably anything from the Sunday brunch at a Nashville local called the Copper Kettle.

If you'd like to play, head on over to the little things we do and link up!

Well, that's all from me, friends!  I hope you have a great weekend!  I'll be hanging out with my beau in sunny Las Vegas!  Woohoo!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Yes, I realize it is no longer Friday...in fact, a good portion of  Saturday is already gone...however, Lauren over at the little things we do does a Friday post that I've really been wanting to participate in, so I decided better late than never...
1. When I get a day to myself I like to stay at home and watch my favorite DVR'd TV shows.

2. High school was probably the worst time of my life!  SOOOOOOO glad things got better from there, right?  =)

3. A little dream I have is to mark everything off my "bucket list" before I die...guess I should actually CREATE a "bucket list" shouldn't I?  =)

4. A big dream I have is to do something to truly change someone's life (for the better) one day...

5. If I could drive any car my pick would be the Honda Accord that's sitting in my garage right now because in 8 months it will be paid off!  I know, I know, I'm such a boring CPA!

6. A time that I felt really and truly beautiful was on my 30th Birthday!  Not necessarily because I felt beautiful on the outside but because I felt so proud of the life I am living!

7. Tomorrow I will be having a sushi party with friends while watching the TN Titans game.

So, there you have it...my first Fill in the Blank Friday.  If you'd like to participate, head on over and check out Lauren's page.
