Hi! I'm Melissa! Thanks for stopping by this little blog of mine! I hope you will stay awhile. I started blogging in May 2010...right after my 30th birthday! I figured that since my 20s were so great, I wanted to have the next decade in writing! Ever since starting my blog, I have found something that has really changed my life! I am much more accountable, much more focused, and much more productive. I have also found the perfect outlet to express my feelings!
Now, let me tell you a little about me! I was born and raised in the small town of Strawberry Plains, TN, where my closest family still lives. I attended the Unversity of Tennessee (go Vols!) and after graduating took a job in Knoxville at a local CPA firm. After living in East TN for about a year and a half, I realized that something wasn't right and there was something missing in my life. On a whim in April 2006, I made the big move to Middle Tennessee. Ever since that day, I have really had a completely different outlook on life. I am more independent, I am more confident, and I am just happier. I spend my days as a tax accountant at a local CPA firm and my nights and weekends playing on a kickball team and enjoying my husband, dog, friends and family.
Here is a little about the special people in my life:
Patrick, AKA my beau! He is unique and fun and loyal and sweet and makes me feel like a lucky girl every day! If I could only use one word to describe our relationship, it would be FUN!
Zoey! She is our fur-child and she is pretty much our life. I am so happy to have her in my life. She is sweet, smart, and never talks back. =)
My Parents and Peppermint -- This explanation goes without saying, but this is the greatest 2 parents a girl could ask for. You will also hear about this sweet little doggy, too...although, she's kind of taken a back seat now that Zoey is in the picture! They are the best of friends, and have lots of fun together!
Daniel and Laura -- My older brother and younger sister! We are SEVERAL years apart in age and have just as different personalities. We would do anything for each other, though, and that's what being a sibling is all about!
