Weekend Update!

This was a weekend that I just didn't want to end.  It was such a fun time and we got to spend lots of QT with our newest addition.  Friday night, Zoey had her first play date when Kathleen brought her dog, Lyla over.  I don't think either of them were too sure of the other, but it was fun, none-the-less, and I'm sure there will be many more play dates to come.  After that, Patrick and I headed to Zanies Comedy Club, where we indulged in lots of laughs and fun!

Saturday afternoon was spent doing chores and laying by the pool.  Then, Saturday night, it was time to head to my friend, Stacy's Bachelorette Party.  It was so much fun complete with dinner, drinks, lingerie, and a party bus!

Several of the girls at dinner at Cabana!

Stacy, on the Party Bus, ready to REALLY get the party started!

Yes, this may have been a bar that they are dancing on.  =)

About to take a Bachelorette Shot!

Me, with the Bride-to-Be!

The group as we are leaving Coyote Ugly!

And just because I couldn't let this pole go to waste.  =)
It was a super fun night, but man was I tired!  Thank goodness my beau drove downtown and picked me up!  And also thank goodness that he let me sleep in this morning and he got up to let Zoey out (I'm usually on morning duty, so I was MUCH appreciative)!

After relaxing for awhile this morning, it was time to give Zoey her first bath.  She handled it okay, and she smells like a new dog now!
There's nothing cuter than that drowned rat look!

Being such a good girl as we dry her off!
Early this afternoon, it was time to play kickball!  I am happy to report that we are STILL undefeated!  This game was an especially exciting victory BECAUSE we won the game in overtime!  It was so much fun!  Especially, since the other team was really ugly and kinda sore losers!

After an afternoon trip to the pool, Patrick and I headed to dinner at our favorite Chinese Buffet.  A perfect end to a really nice weekend!

#23 -- DONE!!!!!

Meet Zoey!  A Boston Terrier/Jack Russell 4 month old puppy, who weighs 18 pounds and is (hopefully) potty trained!  Patrick and I have been thinking of getting a dog for several months now (hence the reason it's on my 101 Things list), but just never could find the exact one!  Well, last Sunday, after being forced to leave the pool because of rain, we headed to the Nashville Humane Society to just "look."  Next thing you know, this little girl was winning our hearts!  We didn't get her that night, but instead decided to head home and sleep on it.  The next day, we knew she was OUR dog!

Even though it has been a big change in both mine and Patrick's life, we are already so attached to this little girl, we really don't know what we did before she came along!  My favorite thing about her is how she cuddles up with me on the couch after I have taken her out in the mornings and we go back to sleep until my alarm goes off (yes, she wakes up SOOOOOOOOOOO early).

I so look forward to her growing up and seeing how much she changes over the next several months!

Stylish Blogger Award

So, I know it's been over a week, but I'm finally catching up with all my blogging and wanted to send a special "thank you" to Christina at Lou Lou Runs Florida for giving me the Stylish Blogger Award!
This award comes with 7 random facts about myself and then I tag 7 people.  Here goes:

1.  I'm soooo glad it is the weekend!  I have been looking forward to this since Monday!  Not sure why I am living for the weekends these days...maybe it's because work has been so busy!

2.  Our kickball team is currently undefeated!  Let's hope we can keep up our winning streak at this week's game!

3.  This week I started planning a trip for my mom and I to go visit my sister!  I can't wait to head to South Carolina later this summer!

4.  Why is it that even though I have bought plenty of clothes this summer, I still feel like I have nothing to wear?  I think maybe I just don't like the styles...

5.  When I was younger, I was in a handbell choir...at our first performance, I accidentally let go of the handbell and it went flying into the audience...that was the end of my handbell career.

6.  I have a slight addiction to Thirty-One Gifts.  In fact, I just picked up an order yesterday.  I have some really cool things though!

7.  Patrick made me a delicious drink tonight...white wine mixed with Diet Citrus Drop (aka generic Diet Mountain Dew).  It was amazing.  Who would have thought?

Okay, now it's my turn to tag a few friends:

Anna Catherine at Kelso Thoughts

Alysia at What's Going on With Mrs. Jones

Marcie at Justin & Marcie

Stacy at The Surprises of Life

Morgan at When Irish Eyes are Smiling

Kelsey @ The Seattle Smith's

Caroline @ Simply Smithwick

#62 -- DONE!!!!!

For those who don't know, I have always had a love affair with all things related to cheering, dancing, gymnastics, etc.  Therefore, when Kathleen told me about a friend of her's who was trying out to be a Titans Cheerleader and asked me if I would like to go with her to the open tryouts, I was ecstatic!  She didn't even know this was on my 101 Things list...I guess she just knew I would love it!

Here are a few pics from the evening:

Now doing her solo dance!
I guess you all are wondering if she made it...well...
YES SHE DID!

A final pic of the entire squad!
It was a great time, and I am so glad I got to go!  Thanks for the invite, Kat, and Anne, I can't wait to cheer you on this fall from the stands!

The Summer I Went to Europe - Day 2

After a good night's sleep and FINALLY feeling more like myself and less like some traveling zombie, it was time to visit my first part of Europe.  Because the port is so small in Cannes, France, we had to "tender" back and forth to the ship.  What this means is that we got on a smaller boat that took us from our big ship to the port.  Here are a few pics from our tender:

Notice the mountains in the background - Beautiful!

Our Ship - Libery of the Seas!

After arriving in Cannes, we boarded a charter bus that took us on a tour of Monaco and Monte Carlo.  The cool thing about this tour is that it took us the scenic route through the cities of Cannes, Nice, and Villefranche.  I honestly couldn't believe how beautiful it was to travel the coast of France.  I really wish we had the time to get out and take some cool pictures.  However, I DID get some good pics from the bus!
Where the Cannes Film Festival is held!

It had just ended 2 days prior and they were still taking everything down.
This is a building of apartments...each one is VERY expensive and has it's own patio.

And another one...

and another one...

I think it's really neat how they build houses into the sides of buildings.
After the hour and a half drive to Monaco, we had to switch to a city bus because of the Grand Prix race that was taking place that weekend.  Apparently, no charter buses were allowed in the city limits and this caused a lot of drama...However, after a few snafus, we finally made it to Monaco.  It was a very interesting place with lots to see.

After spending a few hours in Monaco, it was time to head to Monte Carlo, the home of the world's most famous casino.  It was amazing to see all of the rich, rich people getting out of their cars to gamble at this casino.

Patrick's new car!  Ha!
After taking a quick nap on the way back to the ship, it was time to get all dressed up for the Captain's Dinner that night.  We also went to see Royal Caribbean's version of Saturday Night Fever, which was so awesome!  I even got to dance with one of the performer's out in the aisle toward the end of the show.  Patrick tried to capture this fabulous moment on camera, but apparently, it happened way too quickly...here are a few pics that we did capture that night:
All dressed up and headed to dinner!

Patrick being goofy!

And, no night on a cruise is complete without a towel animal!  =)
After the show, we decided to head to the casino.  I realized on this cruise that I am a BIG fan of Blackjack!  That's always been my game of choice, but this time, I really got hooked!  At the end of the night, we finally pulled ourselves away from gambling and headed to bed.  Afterall, we had another busy day in Pisa and Florence to look forward to!
