Fall's Favorite Finds Blog Swap Revealment

Big time thanks to Caroline, Molly, and Mateya for hosting and organizing this super fun Blog Swap!  I had a great time both purchasing my goodies for my partner Michabella from Living a Life of Love (who is out doing good for others on a Mission Trip this week...I can't WAIT to hear what she and her group accomplished) and also receiving the fun goodies she sent me.

For those who don't know, Monday, October 17 is my last big deadline of the year, so needless to say, I've been living at the office.  You can only imagine how much it brightened my day when I opened a package last Thursday to find THIS:
It was full of so many fun goodies, including:
A super sweet card -- Glad I'm not the only one who loves stuff with an "M" on it!
This beautiful scarf -- That I happened to be sporting all day yesterday!

This great deep red nail polish -- Think I'll take it with me to get my mani/pedi this week!

I LOVE the name!  =)

This yummy smelling candle!

And pumpkin flavored coffee -- My favorite fall delicacy my far!
All of this stuff is just as fabulous as I had hoped!  Thanks so much Michelle!

Engaging Weekend Update!

Oh, my...I'm not sure where to begin with this one!  This past weekend was definitely one of the most exciting, emotional, fabulous, special weekends of my entire life!  As I'm sure you have already heard, Patrick and I got engaged this weekend.  It was such a special night and it goes a little something like this:

Friday night, my beau decided to have a Sushi Date Night, which means we invite a few friends over and make homemade sushi...It's always so much fun, so I was really looking forward to it all day!  After we get to Patrick's house, and he gets all the ingredients set up, we are ready to go...he gives a quick tutorial to the "new kids" and then we are all ready to make our own sushi:
Chef Patrick showing us how it's done!

Adam and Alacia are doing a great job!

Alysia looks so excited for her's!

Ed looks pretty proud...and hungry!

This is me...trying to look like a pro!
As everyone was just getting into their sushi making, Patrick put a hold on the party and asked everyone to please come to the living room and gather around the TV...he said he had a special video to show and said that I needed to sit in a certain chair (a chair that just so happened to be placed in the middle of the room and even though I didn't realize it at the time, there was a camera that was specially placed to capture my expressions).

Let me stop here and say that up until this exact moment, the thought had not even crossed my mind that I might be getting engaged that night.  In fact, a little earlier in the evening, the boys all left the house to go buy more sushi rice (we ran out...oops!) and the girls were having lots of girl talk and I made a comment about how I didn't have any idea when Patrick was going to propose...I stopped trying to figure it out because I know Patrick is so unpredictable.

Anywho, back to the video...Patrick turns on the TV and plays the following video:

Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?  A little side note is that the first time I met Patrick, he made me pretty angry because he yelled at me for not knowing the rules to kickball...that's what that little joke was about.  I think the funniest thing is when it went to "technical difficulties"  Well, it wasn't over (obviously)...he then walks over, gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him!  Woohoo!  What an exciting evening!

So, there you have it!  That's how Patrick asked me to marry him!  I was so excited, I was beside myself!  After everything calmed down, Patrick presented me with an engagement surprise from his mom (who lives out of town and had left it for me when she was here a couple of weeks ago):
I love the matching looks of shock on mine and Alacia's faces!  Hilarious!
Me showing off my new hand bag!
All the guys wanted to share in a celebratory beverage!
Sweet Zoey is either excited or starved for attention..we aren't really sure which!  =)
After all the dust settled, I immediately went to call my mom, Patrick's mom, my sister, and my brother, and meanwhile...all of my friends were celebrating for me:

Meanwhile, I am spending my time texting all of my closest girlfriends to tell them the good news!
Before the night was over, I wanted to have one last shot of Patrick, me and some of our closest friends!  We were so happy that each of you were there!
Because Patrick and I were pretty much on Cloud 9 that day, we decided to celebrate all weekend!  We spent the rest of the weekend going to a Beer Festival, relaxing together at home, and taking Zoey to the dog park.  It couldn't have been a more perfect weekend!

Patrick, I am so happy that I get to spend the rest of my life with you!  You are sweet, kind, funny, unique, outgoing, friendly, handsome, talented, smart, and just pretty much my favorite person on this earth!  I love you so much and am so looking forward to many, many years together!  You may now be my fiance, and one day you will become my husband...but in my heart and mind, you will ALWAYS be My Beau!  =)

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge - Days 7-10

Okay, so I realize that this is so late that no one probably cares anymore..however, the OCD side of me can't help but finish up the Blog Challenge...so, without further adu:

Day 7:  Fall Recipe -- My favorite fall recipe is one that I've blogged about before...Taco Soup...I love it, it's easy to make, and it lasts forever...makes it the favorite dish for me!

Day 8:  Fall Travel/Road Trips -- Oh, gee...do we have some travel plans this fall!  The first trip we have planned is this weekend when we venture to Knoxville for the UT/GA game!  I am so excited about this trip...not only do I get to show off my new bling to my family, but I also get to hang out with Andi and Rob and we get to take Sweet Zoey on another road trip!

We also are planning our big trip to Jamaica later this month!  I am super excited about spending time with Patrick in a relaxing environment for a few days!  Can't wait!

Day 9:  Favorite Football Pastimes -- Well, as you can see, my favorite pastime on a Saturday during college football season is to tailgate in the parking lot near Neyland Stadium and then head into the stadium and watch the boys in orange run through the Power T!!!!!  It's the coolest feeling you've ever seen!  I also like going to the occasional Titans game on Sundays, but since I'm in an All Girls Fantasy Football League, I kinda like staying close to the computer on Sundays.

Day 10:  Thanksgiving Memories -- I guess my favorite memory of Turkey Day is the whole family heading to see a movie every year.  I think my favorite was the first year that Patrick went home with me and we went to see one of my all-time favorite movies...The Blind Side!

Well, I think I'm all caught up!  Thanks to Neely and Amber for hosting!

Another Late Weekend Update!

Yes, I'm still running behind...not sure what is wrong with me lately, but I'm just REALLY having a hard time finding the time to blog...well, I'm determined to get caught up tonight...my free night this week!

Last weekend (2 weekends ago, that is), my beau and I decided to have a fun date night because we hadn't gotten to spend a lot of quality time together recently.  What better place to go than Ruth's Chris...YUMMY!  We had a great time and really enjoyed spending time together.  =)

Saturday morning was met with a run at my favorite place in Nashville, Radnor Lake.  If you are from this town and have never been here, go tomorrow...seriously, it's that awesome!  After that, I ran home and got ready for one of the strangest events I have ever been to...The Third Annual Sausage Fest...

Yep, I went to a fesitval about nothing but sausage...it was VERY strange...so strange that not only was there sausage, there was also wrestling.  I know, I should be embarrassed, and I admit, I am...Here are afew pics of some of the "sites":
I think this guy's name was Joe Banana...
Stand back ladies...I think this guy's taken...and I think this girl will beat you up for him.  =)
Yes, it was extremely strange, and yes, I can't believe I actually went, but I have to admit, it was a LITTLE fun...just the people watching part...Promise!  I did take advantage of a good photo op for Patrick and me:
Unfortunately (okay..I actually meant FORTUNATELY) we couldn't stay...BECAUSE it was Kat's 30th birthday!  Finally, she was joining me in the 30 club and we wanted to be there to celebrate!  We spent the evening in Arrington Vineyards (my second favorite place in Nashville).  It started out being a beautiful night, but there were a few showers...we didn't let it ruin our fun though...we still enjoyed wine tastings, bbq, and smores...sounds like a good night to me!
I got to feed this adorable little girl while her mommy and daddy went on a wine tasting.  She is so sweet!
This picture doesn't do the sunset justice...

Me with my beau!

The whole gang!
After sleeping in on Sunday, I set out on a mission to run a bizillion errands and to mark things off my to-do list...it was amazing...oh, and I also ran my 4 mile training run...

It was a great weekend, and we had an awesome time...can't wait to tell you about THIS past weekend though...wonder why?  =)

I'm Getting Married!

Yep, that's right!  Patrick popped the question last night, and of course, I said YES! I'll be back in a couple of days with all the details!

Have a great weekend!
