Blogger Mistakes

So, tonight while doing my typical Friday night blog stalking (yes, my life really is THAT exciting), I came across this article that was first referenced on West Sac Honey's blog.  Apparently, someone actually wrote an article about the Top 10 Mistakes people make while blogging.  I'm not 100% sure I agree with all of these mistakes (in fact, I've already committed one of these "sins" in this blog post).  However, it's definitely something to think about.  From the looks of things, the author of this article would probably breeze right past my blog because I have made all of the following mistakes:

1. Always apologizing -- Yes, I am guilty...I have always been a pleaser, and quite frankly, I think this is one of my positive traits...therefore, the apologizing will probably continue...I'm really sorry though...  =)
2. Not running spell-check or proofreading -- Again, guilty!  I am constantly mispeling evrythng!!!!!  I shuld probly wrk on this!
3. Busy, cluttered sidebars -- This one's still up in the air...I like having an "exciting" blog.  That's part of the fun, is having this pretty page for people to look at!
4. Links that don't tell where they are going -- EXTREMELY guilty!  So, according to this author, this is annoying!  Again, I'll work on it.

In all seriousness though, I really do think this blogger has a lot of good points...the key to getting people to read your blog is for it to be interesting and easy to navigate.  I think I'll take SOME of her comments to heart!
